I already know what the Sate Law says I live in,which is 16 by the way.. Between my law practice and other law related jobs, I have over 13 years experience. That does NOT mean, however, that there can not be another charge...depending on what the parents say. I have always thought Military Age of Consent was 18. So I am 20 years old and in the Marines, in a relationship with a 16 year old from back home.If the 17 year old still lives at home, the parents have the legal right to forbid the relationship and then, if the relationship continues, the soldier can face other types of charges, like contributing to the delinquency of a minor. So far as I've looked age of consent laws under the ucmj, and my state, say that she is in the age of consent.

I am military and everything I have read points to it being 16 years old is age of consent in military.anyone help? Can a 34 yr old man have sexual intercourse with a 17 year old women and be within the law according to UCMJ. That means that, as long as no state law has been broken (some states have lower consent ages), then it is not rape or indecent liberties (Article 130 or 134). They need to say "no" and then, following that, if you know the answer is no from them, any continued contact is grounds for a charge.

Mary Letourneau was a 35-year old schoolteacher who had consensual sex with her then 13-year old student. The Letourneau case took place in Florida, a state that recognizes female offender statutory rape.

Letourneau was convicted which prompted legislators of many other states to amend statutory rape laws to include similar cases to that of Ms. Some states do not have statutory rape legislation that is applicable to homosexual sex acts between one who is over the age of consent and the other below the age of consent. Limon (2004) prompted many states to include homosexual sex in their existing statutory rape legislation.

Limon would have faced a maximum sentence of 15 months in prison.

He appealed based on the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment and the Kansas Appellate court upheld the original ruling.
